Welcome to Front Range CPR and First Aid. At Front Range CPR we know how important and fragile life is. We specialize in quality CPR, AED and first aid training for people of all age groups. Front Range CPR provides classes in the Denver metro area and all along the front range.  If you have ever witnessed someone having a heart attack and did not know what to do, now you will. When a friend or family member is choking, would you know what to do? We will teach you. What if someone is stung by a bee or bitten by a spider, what do you do? We will teach you. It does not matter if you have ever been trained in these areas or not. We strive to make this learning experience fun, informative and convenient. We teach classes to business professionals, daycare providers, dental office staff, medical office personnel, coaches, teachers, church groups, assisted living staff and anyone else who wants to be prepared when the unthinkable occurs.
 
 

Heart Attack Warning Signs:
 
Some heart attacks are sudden and intense — the "movie heart attack," where no one doubts what's happening. But most heart attacks start slowly, with mild pain or discomfort. Often people affected aren't sure what's wrong and wait too long before getting help. Here are signs that can mean a heart attack is happening:

Most heart attacks involve discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes, or that goes away and comes back. It can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain.
Discomfort in other areas of the upper body. Symptoms can include pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach.
Shortness of breath with or without chest discomfort.
Other signs may include breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness

The CPR MICROSHIELD® manufactured by MDI was designed to meet two critical specifications; protect the rescuer and allow the rescuer to perform proper CPR according to the established guidelines and procedures. The patented one-way valve and single piece design assures the rescuer that the barrier will not leak, or ever fall apart during CPR with the convenience of a key chain. All we need from you is a large area to perform the skills, as well as a TV and DVD player for the practice as you watch video portion of the class.
